Emily RubinEmily Rubin was raised in New England. Her writing has appeared in magazines, anthologies, and newspapers, including New York Stories, BEFORE: Short Stories About Pregnancy From Our Top Writers, and The Boston Globe Newspaper Company. One of her stories was nominated for a Pushcart Prize and another placed first in The White Pines Fiction Contest. She has served as Visiting Writer at Hampshire College and Writer-in-Residence at Chester College, and has taught writing at secondary schools and colleges. A recently published anthology of photographs and writings from Welcome Books (March 2008) includes one of her pieces. She is currently writing a biography of a Holocaust survivor entitled Looking Back: A Survivor’s Story. Come join Emily for Inspiring Writing, an interactive writing experience on Saturday, April 27th at 2:00 at Porter Square Books, Porter Square Shopping Center, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
