I make art because I have so many visual ideas swimming around in my head. I draw because I love to. I like working with many different materials, papers, tools. Sometimes I work directly from the world around me, like with the squirrel pictures. At other times I let my knowledge and observations influence what I am doing indirectly, and let the ideas play a bigger role, like with the nest pictures. One thing is constant: Whenever I show my work I am aiming for communication and connection.
