I use my camera as a means to suggest an aesthetic order or a personal vision of what I see in the natural world. My visual tools are light and shadow, texture, and the shapes of natural objects. These elements have a potential for abstractness, ambiguity, and metaphor. I try to show the connection between ordinary objects and abstraction or metaphor. My hope is that my photos will encourage people to look freshly as what they see or experience.
