KD MerninKD is an accomplished monotype artist and also the co-founder of Carriage House Press. Her work is often bold and expressive, reflecting her passion for painting and the language of the artist's hand. Much of her work explores the concept of "conversation" in its various permutations - internal conversations, historical conversations, familial conversations, political conversations and the like. Sometimes funny, sometimes dark, sometimes poignantly personal, her work is at once intimate and universally accessible.KD has a B.S. degree from Skidmore College and has studied extensively at the SMFA (School of the Museum of Fine Arts) Boston, MassArt, the DecCordova Museum and FAWC in Provincetown.
