Sengchan TuftsI love flowers and gardening. My paintings reflect the subjects I love. This past year, I have been experimenting with Chinese-style painting. I really enjoy the simplicity of the brush painting, although at times, it is not as simple as it looks, especially on very thin rice paper. I tried to do brush painting on the 140 lb cold press paper, but it did not absorb as well as rice paper, although it was easier to correct errors. Every year I use the images from my painting to make calendars and note cards, for sale and as gifts. Most of my paintings are watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper. But I am also experimenting with water mixable oil and Acrylic on canvas. Collage will be my next adventure. If anyone is interested in my paintings, calendars or note cards, please contact me by email at giftyarts@comcast.net or info@giftyarts.com Also please check out my website www.giftyarts.com where I posted some of my pictures and paintings.
