Shola Adekeye

My journey with photography started after the birth of my children in the early nineties. At that time, I used the Kodak disposable camera and I have fond memories of taking photographs of them all the time. From then on, I took pictures of families and friends. I have received great compliments of how I take beautiful pictures.

My enthusiasm for photography reignited again when I bought my first digital camera, a Cannon SD1200. Basically, I am self-taught and in the process of learning to use my digital camera, I discovered I could do so many interesting things with it. I enjoy taking pictures of anything that my camera can capture, however, I mostly enjoy taking pictures of nature. I spend countless hours taking pictures of flowers, birds, trees, streams and ponds. I enjoy the serenity and the peace that surrounds me, and I am completely relaxed and I become one with nature. For me, it is awe-inspiring and has a spiritual lift. I am grateful and blessed to be able to capture nature at its best, especially when I stumble into something that is least expecting and can never see it the same way again.
