Nature has so much to see and celebrate. Natural light wrapping itself on a tree trunk, reflections in moving water or the delicate shades of flowers inspire me to share nature's beauty with others through watercolor paint on paper.

Experimenting with watercolor and brushes and exploring combinations of techniques and overlays of color is fun. The transparent hues of watercolor applied to the white paper possess a luminous quality unlike any other medium.

I teach watercolor classes at the Fitzgerald Community School adult evening program in Cambridge and at the North Cambridge Senior Center. I also teach after-school art classes at the Fitzgerald Community School and occasionally do drawing workshop with the Friends of Fresh Pond in Cambridge. I participate in the Cambridge Open Studios.

An interview with me is available at Siobhan Bredin created this and other interviews with Cambridge artists.
